Sweden's most famous and picturesque waterway, the Göta Canal, stretches from the city of Gothenburg to the nation's political and cultural capital, Stockholm. Venture along this historic route on a vintage steamship and discover Sweden's idyllic countryside and cultural highlights. Gliding along canals, lakes and rivers, encounter picturesque hamlets, fortress ruins and lush forests. Explore highlights such as medieval cloisters and royal palaces. Former towpaths along the canals provide opportunities for walking or bicycling.
