Northern Arizona and Grand Canyon offer some of the most exciting scenery on our planet. For those with a yen to raft the inner gorge of Grand Canyon (no white water), this program is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the splendor of the canyon, from its lofty rim viewpoints to a raft trip in the Canyon's depths. Explore historic Prescott with its impressive town square/courthouse. Ride the historic Grand Canyon Railroad 64 miles to the South Rim in Grand Canyon National Park, explore historic Grand Canyon Village and enjoy spectacular rim views. At Peach Springs, locale of the only road to the bottom of the canyon (a well-kept Arizona secret), experience the beauty of rafting the Colorado River in the depths of the canyon during an afternoon on the river, including a dramatic entry via helicopter from the rim, and a picnic lunch on a canyon-bottom beach. Expert guides will introduce the geology, ecology, Native American history, and exploration history of Grand Canyon.

Elevations from 4,500 to 7,500 feet. Helicopter and raft trip participation require signature on a liability waiver. Program transportation via vans with much off the beaten path travel.

Program in association with Northern Arizona University, offering educational Southwestern adventures for over 25 years.
