Ride the Grand Canyon Railway! Discover how Iron Horse railroads civilized the West and how this famous rail to the rim transformed early day travel and development at Grand Canyon. While in Williams, enjoy natural and local history presentations as well as the story of the mountain man and cowboy. Take a field trip to Flagstaff where you will visit the renowned Museum of Northern Arizona, the Colorado Plateau’s premier museum dedicated to the region’s natural and cultural landscapes. At Grand Canyon, enjoy guided walks along the rim and glimpses of oft-seen California condors soaring the canyon skies. Learn insights from local experts into the fascinating human history and geologic past of this world treasure. A guided coach tour to the spectacular East Rim of Grand Canyon and the Watchtower at Desert View caps off your canyon experience. Don't forget to catch a canyon sunrise or sunset before departing via rail for a "surprise" train robbery and your final night back in Williams.

Ability to walk up to one mile per day is required at Grand Canyon, longer hiking options available.

Program in association with Northern Arizona University, offering educational Southwestern adventures for over 25 years.
