Hike on trails, look for critters and raft down a river! This special week is designed for adults and young adventurers to spend quality time together in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Enjoy the community of a camp experience with water activities, hiking, intergenerational connection activities, music, and whitewater rafting. Create memories while learning about each other and the natural environment through shared activities and projects. Explore Appalachia’s habitats and wildlife through nature walks and hands-on activities. Staff will teach you and your young adventurers paddling skills before whitewater rafting with you on the scenic Nantahala River. One afternoon will be free for self-guided exploration of the area and the site.

One child per adult or two per couple. Participants share lodging with their youngsters. We use a professional whitewater outfitter with an excellent safety record and a trained guide in every raft. All participants must be able to walk up to 4 miles on uneven mountain terrain up and downhill at a slow pace. Some free time scheduled for adults.
