Engage in in-depth study of all aspects of cinema while attending the 16th annual Sedona International Film Festival and Workshop. The Sedona Film Festival has achieved worldwide recognition and is where audiences and the next generation of filmmakers come together to participate in an inspiring celebration of independent film. Go behind the scenes for discussions with filmmakers, producers and actors, and attend premieres of first-run and independent films. When not enjoying the films, explore a few of Sedona’s many attractions including field trips to The Chapel of the Holy Cross, Tlaquepaque, and the picturesque historic mining town of Jerome, once the largest copper mine in the U.S. and today home to a thriving arts scene.

Participants will view six films with the option to enjoy more films during free time at member discount rates. As many films sell out in advance, films will be pre-chosen by the festival Director and screening committee. Workshops in conjunction with Sedona’s own Zaki Gordon Institute for Independent Filmmaking, whose mission is dedicated to creating tomorrow’s leading filmmakers. Terrain on field trips fairly hilly with some irregular footing.

Program in association with Northern Arizona University, offering educational Southwestern adventures for over 25 years.

Sedona

Sedona was historically a rural ranching community in Oak Creek Canyon. Today, the sunny city attracts visitors to its red-rock cliffs and lush evergreens, international film festival, and lively art scene.
