Photography Field Trip to Grand Canyon - Copyright 2007 Jeff Strang, NAU Elderhostel

Capture some of the most photogenic sites in the Southwest including Grand Canyon and the San Francisco Peaks then utilize PhotoShop Elements to create visually stunning images. Spend two days in the field with a professional photographer learning/honing your skills (incl. composition, lighting/exposure, wide angle/close up, flash). With hands-on instruction and in-class projects, optimize your photos in our state-of-the-art computer training facility. Previous computer skill, proficiency with Windows and creating files/folders are a must! Use Adobe PhotoShop Elements to refine/correct your photos to prepare them for email/greeting cards/enlargements/web pages. Create a photo CD/slide show by week’s end to share with fellow classmates.

Bring your digital camera, manual and memory card. Course includes two full days in the Computer Training Center located in the new College of Business at Northern Arizona University (on the NAU campus and just 1/4 mile from hotel; shuttle available) and evening computer lab time. Student lab aides assist during lab time.
