Between Phoenix and Las Vegas, discover the Southwest's premier natural and cultural destinations. The Southwest contains America's most wondrous geologic features, largest Native American reservation, best preserved archaeological sites, and out of this world scenery. View the majesty of Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks, the sculpted red-rock magnificence of Sedona and Monument Valley and a smooth water raft adventure on the Colorado River beneath the towering 800' cliffs of Glen Canyon. Daily field trips and interpretation by local experts. Visit archaeological sites at Mystery Canyon and Navajo National Monument, take a guided 4-WD jeep trip into Monument Valley; and enjoy hiking opportunities at Grand Canyon & Zion. Native art discussion; Native Americans discuss their culture; a musical performance; presentations on archaeology, geology, and regional characters from John W. Powell to John Wayne. Amazing scenery throughout make the journey as rewarding as the destinations.
