Sagamore's "grands camp" is designed to bring families together in a unique and beautiful natural setting. Morning sessions include nature hikes and other outdoor activities. Afternoons are spent making crafts or making music. Each intergenerational program is tailored to the skill levels of specific age groups. See course note for specific ages. Come and see why Time Magazine has considered Sagamore's to be "the granddaddy of intergenerational programs.



One adult must attend for each one or two youths registered. Adults and grandchildren share the same room. Adults are responsible for the supervision of their grandchildren at all times.

Raquette Lake

Raquette Lake’s pristine water and wooded lakeshores are located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Great Camp Sagamore, founded by the Vanderbilt family in 1897 and now a National Historic Landmark, shares this wilderness area.
