Golfing at Lake Powell National - Tim Worley

Surrounded by red rock buttes and spires, the sparkling blue waters of Lake Powell and the fairways' lush green grass, you don't need to break 100 to enjoy one of the finest courses in the Southwest. PGA-certified instructors will hone your skills as you participate in three small group instructional lessons. Includes three days of golf (36 holes) with cart and a fun golf scramble. When not golfing, enjoy a 15-mile smooth water raft adventure on the Colorado River within the towering 800' red rock cliffs of Glen Canyon. Discover 800-year-old petroglyphs (rock art) etched into the canyon walls and visit Lee's Ferry, starting point for Grand Canyon raft trips. From Native culture to the early pioneers, discover the region's unfolding story.

Lake Powell National Golf Course has just completed major renovations and improvements and is rated 4 stars by Golf Digest. Motorized carts provided for players, rental clubs available.

Program in association with Northern Arizona University, offering educational Southwestern adventures for over 25 years.

Lake Powell

Resulting from the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam in 1963, Lake Powell is a surrealist’s dream, as houseboat flotillas drift past curvaceous rock formations, hidden coves and red-rock cliffs. Crystal-clear water reflects the lake’s towering buttes.
