Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, National Resource Center (NRC)
100 % time
The Director of Operations and Communication oversees the communication
networking functions of the NRC, including the www.osher.net website,
OLLI Extranet and AskOLLI blog. The Director also develops new forms
of communication and collaboration among and for the national OLLI
network; assists the Executive Director in maintaining relationships
with other national organizations such as ASA, UCEA and AARP; and
responds to media requests for the NRC, coordinating with the University
Office of Public Affairs. The Director supervises the NRC administrative
staff and the Life Story Center, oversees routine operations of the
office, and coordinates as needed with university service departments
such as Purchasing, Publications, Finance, Network Services. The position
may also include assisting the Executive Director with management
of future grant-funded programs of the NRC. The Director of Operations
and Communication manages the National Resource Center in the absence
of the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Master’s degree. Minimum of five years’
experience in educational administration and adult program planning
and management (higher education preferred).
Preferences: Experience managing a lifelong learning institute
for older adults. Active intellectual life, lifelong learner.
