Do I need to be concerned about attending alone?
Many of our first-time single travelers have concerns about mixing with their fellow participants on the program. First-time single travelers tell us that they are surprised and pleased by the welcoming spirit of their programs. On a typical Exploritas program, there is always a mix of couples and singles, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Will I have a roommate?
Unless you get a single room, the program coordinator will assign you a roommate. We often hear from participants who say they look forward to attending Exploritas programs because they are excited to meet new and friendly people who share similar interests. This kinship has resulted in many long-lasting friendships. In fact, many participants currently attend programs with friends whom they first met when they were assigned a room together at a previous program.

Is it possible to have a single room?

Yes, over 90% of the Exploritas sites in the US and most overseas offer single accommodations. We can't guarantee a single room for all of our programs, but if you request one, the program coordinator will make every attempt to accommodate you. There is usually an additional charge for a single room.
