Discover Fiji's extraordinary history, culture, and traditions, and explore its natural history and diverse marine life. During the first week, we are welcomed as honored guests by local communities as we delve deeply into Fijian culture, visiting villages and schools and participating in traditional ceremonies. Each day begins with optional snorkeling, giving beginners ample time to get comfortable. We spend the second week aboard ship, moving among beautiful islands and learning about Fiji's reef life through lectures, daily snorkeling, and glass-bottom boat rides.

Walking 1-2 miles per day over uneven terrain; sidewalks often unpaved or non-existent; some unpaved roads; extensive sun with possibility of high humidity; optional low-intensity hiking; many opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. Snorkeling equipment provided during study cruise only; those who wish to snorkel must be competent swimmers.
