Discover art and history in this exploration of Montreal and Quebec City. Montreal is a dynamic, vibrant metropolis and a multicultural mecca; and noted as a "hotbed of creativity" in all fine arts. Quebec City, the provincial capital, is perched on the edge of the St. Lawrence River. This 400 year old city is an enclave of cobblestone streets and historic buildings, reminiscent of great European cities. Explore the differences and similarities that give each city its own unique personality. Lectures, discussions, site and museum visits reveal Quebec's history and rich artistic legacy. Participants have a rare opportunity to meet with artists and share the richness of Quebec's cultural life. The program also includes a concert performance preceded by an enlightening lecture given by a Musicologist. Throughout the program, savor our famous French cuisine!

2-3 miles per day, with a 2 hour walking field trip of old Quebec on uneven surfaces, some cobbled, with hills; expect to walk at least 3 to 4 miles.
